I will forever be thankful to the person/s who came up with PinoyTravel.com.ph because despite the fact that me and my travel mates were one of the last few who decided to go to that wedding in Baguio, we were still able to book bus seats with the least bit of hassle. I quite like the PinoyTravel.com.ph team’s vision of bus travel within the Philippines being as easy as booking airline tickets to outside the country.
We chose from their lengthy list of bus lines a couple of weeks before the wedding date for fear of the Panagbengga rush (the infamous flower festival is held all month of February and is notorious in causing, quite frankly, pandemonium in the bus stations to Baguio), and booked round trip tickets via Victory Liner Cubao (tell the cab driver to drop you off at the station that houses the Baguio lines – apparently there are two Victory Liner bus stations in the area).
As was envisioned by the founders of the website, reserving seats was a breeze, especially now that they’ve upped the ante a little bit by taking credit card payments through PayPal. Unlike the experience I had with booking seats to/from Baler last year, now all transactions were really done online. I logged on to their website using my Facebook account and also unlike last year, the response turn around time was quicker. I think the longest I had to wait for the confirmation was a full twenty-four hours. Now I don’t know if that particular improvement’s because of better customer service or just that Genesis Bus station sucks.
Look, they even sealed our tickets!
Here’s the list of local bus lines they’re affiliated with, if you’re interested:
And they even have a fool-proof How To Use Guide!
