at the Bonifacio High Street in Bonifacio Global City!
Now on its second year, the festival promises a bigger, better showcase of the unique mix of creativity, innovation, culture, heritage and knowledge that spell Britain’s success in fashion, music, sport, education and design. A different show every night will thrill audiences at the ampitheatre – acoustic performances, a fashion show, an orchestra, a cooking demonstration and many more! Each night of the festival also gives audience members a chance to win prizes ranging from One Direction tickets to roundtrip tickets to the UK c/o Etihad Airways. Admission to the Great British Festival is free and open to the public.
Filipino-British actor Derek Ramsay will join the judging panel at the first ever GREAT British Rockaoke. Other celebrities that have been invited to join the celebration include Phil and James Younghusband, Andrew Wolff and other Philippine Volcanoes teammates, and model-hosts Patti Grandidge and Kim Jones.
The booths will be open from 2:00PM to 7:00PM on 27 February, and from 11:00AM to 7:00PM on 28 February and 1 March.
PROGRAMME ON OPENING NIGHT 27 FEBRUARY (FRIDAY):
5:00PM – Assembly time in front of Eleventh Avenue at Boni High Street
5:15PM – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (with special guests)
5:30PM – Start of media walkthrough with British Ambassador Asif Ahmad
6:00PM – End of walkthrough
6:00 – 6:30PM – Ambassador Ahmad and other special guests will be available for interview at food and drink festival area in front of Seventh Avenue (please coordinate with the contact below)
7:00 – 8:00PM – Fashion Show with British brands
8:30 – 9:00PM – Philippine Premiere of Titanic Love film
9:00PM onwards – GREAT British Rockaoke (special guest: Derek Ramsay)
Activities and booths include:
GREAT British Rockaoke Contest – finalists will vie for the top prize of a pair of roundtrip tickets to the UK. Fil-Brit actor Derek Ramsay will be part of the judging panel
Open Air Cinema – outdoor screening of well-loved British films Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Dr No (James Bond starring Sean Connery)
UK in Miniature – features famous landmarks plus popculture icons like the Tardis from Dr Who and the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones
Sport – features an F1 simulator, Wimbledon Tennis games by Dunlop and a booth by the Younghusbands’ Chelsea FC Soccer School Philippines
