unravelling the thoughts of an emotional blockhead

Month was actually a very productive month for me.  I think it’s mostly because I didn’t do anything last May, so I sort of compensated for it.

1. I got my SSS number, yay.  After a whole year of unemployment, I finally got the guts, courage and the strength to go out and get one.  I guess it helped that I had L.A. with me that day.

2. I have officially opened up a bank account and got an ATM card.  I figured that it was high time I got an account from an actual reputable bank and hey, the ATM’s just there for the thinking positively mantra.  I have an ATM account and therefore I shall have money to put in there.

3. I have yet another godchild, a godson so that makes that two children I have to give gifts to this Christmas.

4. I got in touch with praying the rosary again, albeit only briefly.  It’s all thanks to the Block Rosary gig that a couple of neighbors decided to do.

5. I finally got to take out the car outside the bounds of our village walls.  I got to drive through SLEX, EDSA, the bumpy roads of Manila and the NLEX all in one go.

6. I got to finish two books this month: Down With Love and the Mortal Instruments’ second installation, City of Ashes.  So I guess, quota-wise, I’m done for May and June, although I’m still halfway through Little Women.

7. I’ve seen movies again.  Not in theatres like before, but just on television.  I’ve almost forgotten what a blessing cable is.

8. I’ve caught up on sleep again.  I guess that’s something, haha.

I guess that’s it.  It’s a short list, considering, but the driving thing was a big step for me and it really is occupying my time these days.
