READING: The menu of the Ribs and Burger restaurant in my hotel. More seriously though, I’ve started reading what I hope to be is the real copy of Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury. Man, this is what happens when I watch too much American Late Night Talk Shows. This is on you, Colbert!
WRITING: This update. Typing on the phone is easier than I remember! Although that may just be because I’m using a machine that has an 8GB RAM…Later though, I plan on writing a couple more blog posts for this week.
THINKING: How crazy it is that I’m on the other side of the world right now. Amazing what 15 and a half hours on a plane can take you. This is such a fantastic start to 2018’s travels. Pretoria sounds scary but hopefully I’ll live to tell the tale of my first solo travel. Also, thinking that I should probably speak up louder as the locals can’t seem to hear what I’m saying.
SMELLING: Vague hints of cigarette smoke from the other table. This is what I get for choosing to sit outside because I wanted to people watch!!!
WISHING: That I could be brave enough to explore on my own plus I wish I could create all the tools they’re asking me to create at the office this week. You know, to their satisfaction. They are, after all, the end users so hopefully I can come up with something really useful for them.
HOPING: That everything goes ok in this trip. I’ve yet to book my tours in Cape Town and am still waiting to hear back from the Safari folks so I am mildly anxious. Also hoping that I can keep up my new “normal” routine while I’m here so I won’t be all wonky when I get back
WEARING: The first stripey dress I pulled out of my suitcase.
LOVING: The burger that they set down in front of me! Damnn it looks goood!
WANTING: For this trip to go well! LOL I know I’m beleaguering the point but I really want this to go well. Also I want to sleep the whole night tonight, none of that jetlag nonsense.
NEEDING: To fix my suitcase. I’ve only had jt open for eight hours but it’s already a mess.
FEELING: A little bit over my head but mostly full from the burger and fries.
CLICKING: Through SEO how-to posts. I still don’t understand how it works, LOL.
